What is the Bathurst Seymour Centre?
Originally established in 1980, the Bathurst Seymour Centre has,
since 1992, occupied a specially designed building at 55 Seymour
Street, Bathurst. The building is fully accessible to people using
wheelchairs and has a pleasant, small and secure garden and sheltered
outdoor areas.
The Centre is attractively and comfortably furnished and provides
a spacious, friendly and informal atmosphere for frail aged people
and those with age related disabilities to enjoy activities of their
choice in a supported environment.
We aim to achieve these outcomes for our clients:-
- That they are helped to stay at home for as long as possible.
- That family or other primary caregivers are supported in their
caring role.
- That their quality of life is enhanced by the companionship,
outings and recreational activities that are offered at Bathurst
Seymour Centre.
Major funding for Bathurst Seymour Centre is by HACC and the Commonwealth
Respite for Carers program.
